The Capital Masquerade was created to change the tradition of charity fundraising in the Capital Region.  This is the next generation of philanthropy.

What is Capital Masquerade?

Capital Masquerade is an event designed to be a truly unique benefit gala experience. With imaginative themes created by our Dream Team, each year we open a new world of wonder to our guests while raising funds and awareness to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.

 

How is this event different?

This is not your grandmother’s gala, and let us explain why—This event was created to capture your imagination and transport you to another place, time, and sometimes, another world.  Each year our Dream Team designs an exciting event based on an imaginative theme that engages our guests with circus-like entertainment, visually stunning decor, glamorous attire, and elegant food and cocktails.  We want to break the mold of charity galas by creating a one of a kind event in the Capital Region, where everyone has a fabulous experience while raising money and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.

 

Who attends this event?

Everyone who is anyone will totally be crazy to miss out on this excitement and fun!  This event is for anyone and everyone (over the age of 21) who is looking for a fabulous way to kick off Halloween weekend.  We have something for everyone: luxurious lounges, epic entrainment, divine dining, decadent drinks, music, dancing…need we go on and on?  This is for everyone looking for a totally gnarly party that also gives back to their community in an awesomely creative an classy way!

 

How much are tickets?

What do tickets include?

Come eat, drink, and dance the night away.  Amenities for the event include valet parking, an amazingly designed event with world class entertainment, music, hand crafted cocktails and signature spirits courtesy of DeCrescente Distributing Company, and theme inspired passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations courtesy of Mazzone Hospitality.

 

Where can I buy Tickets?

Tickets are NOT available yet.

 

What does VIP Included?

VIP has early access to the event beginning at 7pm, specialty cocktail creations, upgraded food stations and passed hors d’oeuvres, and exclusive entrainment that is not available to General Admission ticket holders.  In addition, your ticket includes a larger donation to support the families and children who rely on the Albany Ronald McDonald House.

 

Do I have to wear a Mask?

For sure.  This is a Masquerade event so a mask in some form is expected.  This can be as standard (simple mask you grab at a costume store or online) or as elaborate as you like.  Even makeup and adhesive decals can be creatively worked in as a mask!  For inspiration, we suggest that you check out our past events to see what guest have done as well as our What To Wear videos on Facebook that will answer all your questions!  Remember the event theme is always a fun way to get inspired as well, but don’t forget it is a black-tie event!

 

What do I wear?

The 80’s were full of totally righteous fashions, bright bold colors, metalics, and sweet fabrics.  Puff up your taffeta sleeves, run some Dep through your mullet so you are sure to look your best, and don’t forget the mask.  This evening is everything black-tie and beyond.  We are looking for the most elegant evening gowns, tuxes, and every ounce of luxury, with elements of that sweet 80’s flair.  This is not a costume party, but it is a chance to polish your pumps for a great evening out!  For more details on what to wear, check out our Facebook page for our What to Wear Feature (coming soon)!

 

Transportation, Valet, Ride Sharing and Hotel

Guests of The Capital Masquerade have several options for their transportation needs.  We will have complimentary Valet Parking courtesy of Mazzone Hospitality.

Check back for deals and packages from our local hotel partners as we get closer to the event.

 

Directions to Event Location

From the North: Follow I-87 S to Clifton Park. Take exit 9W from I-87 S. to NY-146 W Continue on NY-146 W. to traffic circle.  Take Maple Ave W to traffic light.  Take left on to Freeman’s Bridge Rd. travel across bridge, bear right.  Freeman’s Bridge becomes Erie Blvd. Continue to traffic circle, go through staying on Erie Blvd.  Continue on Erie Blvd, turn right on S. Church St, then left on Washington Ave.  Driveway/Parking lot entrance is on right.

From the South: Take NYS Thruway 87N, which becomes NYS Thruway 90 westbound.  Take exit 25 to I 890 W follow to exit 4B Erie Blvd Take exit 4B Erie Blvd/GE Plant to Erie Blvd Continue on Erie Blvd, turn left on S. Ferry St., left on S. Fuller-turns into Washington Ave.  Driveway/Parking lot entrance is on right.

From the East: Take NYS Thruway 90 Westbound Take exit 25 to I 890 W follow to exit 4B Erie Blvd Take exit 4B Erie Blvd/ GE Plant to Erie Blvd Continue on Erie Blvd, turn left on S. Ferry St., left on S. Fuller-turns into Washington Ave.  Driveway/Parking lot entrance is on right.

From the West: Take NYS Thruway 90 Eastbound Take exit 26 to I 890 East follow to exit 4C Erie Blvd Take exit 4C Erie Blvd/ GE Plant to Erie Blvd Continue on Erie Blvd, turn left on S. Ferry St., left on S. Fuller-turns into Washington Ave.  Driveway/Parking lot entrance is on right.

Our Community & Charity

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region help serve and sustain families in our local area when serious illness or injury strikes the most cherished part of their lives, their children. By providing housing, meals and other assistance the RMHC aims to create comfort during truly distressful times in these families lives. Every dollar raised at the Masquerade, whether it is through ticket sales, sponsorships, auction purchases, or donations, goes directly into supporting the mission of "The House That Love Built".
